SEO professional Emirhan Yasdiman reported on Twitter that they were experiencing performance problems with their website.
They showed some graphs, and could not explain charts from two separate domains that were both having issues.
They could not think of any reason other than performance problems that would be the cause of such a drop in crawling.
Both domains are running on the same application and infrastructure. 4xx and 5xx errors are less than 1 percent for both of these domains.
What else could they be missing?
John Mueller answered that he believes that a response time of 1.5 seconds is pretty high.
Most sites John sees are in the 100 to 200 milliseconds range, when it comes to server response times.
