Last week, Google officially launched a brand-new section of Google Search Console called Google Search Console Insights.
With the new addition, Google aims to help webmasters better understand how their content will resonate with their audiences.
The new experience, as Google calls it, combines data from Google Search Console with Google Analytics to deliver higher quality interpretations of that data.
It’s scheduled to continue rolling out to all users of GSC over the coming days.
What Does Search Console Insights Reveal?
Google explained that Search Console Insights is designed to help reveal insights that allow content creators to really create amazing content.
Google said in their announcement:
Here are some sample questions that this experience will help you answer:
- What are your best performing pieces of content, and which ones are trending?
- How do people discover your content across the web?
- What do people search for on Google before they visit your content?
- Which article refers users to your website and content?”
How to Use Google Search Console Insights?
Google Search Console insights can be accessed directly by clicking on this link.
You will also want to integrate Google Analytics into GSC so that you can get the most comprehensive insight possible from Search Console Insights.
For now, GSC Insights only supports standard Google Analytics Universal properties. Integration of Google Analytics 4 is currently in progress.
A Search Console Insights iOS App is Also Coming Soon
Google also announced that a brand-new app for iOS is also coming soon.
This will make viewing your Google Search Console Insights data on iPhone much easier.
Accessing Search Console Insights
After you click on the link here, you will be directed to Google Search Console insights:
Under the site overview section, if you click on start association, you can associate GSC with Google Analytics, enabling you to access a much more robust and comprehensive treasure trove of data.
Just click on Confirm on the next screen, and you will be taken to:
After the process is complete, you will be on the next screen.
Then just click on Refresh.
After you click Refresh, you will be taken to the final screen, that will contain all the data that Google Search Console Insights has compiled:

Google Search Console Insights is set to be a game changer when it comes to analyzing what your most popular content currently is, and making adjustments as needed.
As you may be able to see from this process, it looks like Google has a good thing going with Search Console Insights.

What’s Next for Google Search Console Insights?
We don’t know quite yet. It remains to be seen!
As with the introduction of any new tool, spending more time with the tool will be needed in order to assess and identify how it will be used in the best possible way.
