Glenn Gabe reported the following on Twitter yesterday – a new type of Google search result has been showing up intermittently.
Perhaps this is just a test?
I have seen these search results on my own browser as well. And they have been coming and going. I saw them all last week.
This is a very interesting development that we will keep an eye on.
It appears that now (at least very soon) Google is going to use the table of contents section of posts to generate a kind of “content sitelinks” search results that gives users an overview of the content they can expect on your page.
All day I've seen the jumplinks test using tabs via incognito (not logged in). All day… Again, I believe this is getting close to officially rolling out. Just a heads-up if you use jumplinks in your content. pic.twitter.com/Eu9ZVh6j2v
